Adhesives & Sealants

Adhesives may be used interchangeable with glue, cement, mucilage or paste and is any substance applied to one surface, or both surfaces, of two separate items that binds them together and resists their separation. Sealants are materials that are used for sealing something so as to make it airtight or watertight.

Colloids
Colloids are a mixture in which one substance of microscopically dispersed insoluble particles is suspended throughout another substance. Sometime the dispersed substance alone is called the colloid.

Iron Controllers
Iron Controllers have a strong stable square hook design. The bender heads all have enlarged foot pedals and increased toe room to ensure greater control, stability and leverage. All the bender handles are a consistent diameter, offering a bigger grip area, while still straight up and down for fast 30-degree bends.

Resins
Resins are a “solid or highly viscous substance” which are typically convertible into polymers. Such viscous substances can be plant-derived or synthetic in origin. They are often mixtures of organic compounds.

Surfactants
Surfactants are compounds that lower the surface tension (or interfacial tension) between two liquids or between a liquid and a solid. Surfactants may act as detergents, wetting agents, emulsifiers, foaming agents, and dispersants.

Tape
Tape refers to any one of a variety of combinations of backing materials that are coated with an adhesive. There are different backing materials and adhesives can be used depending on the intended use.
