Lubricants, Oils, Greases & Anti Corrosives

Lubricants are substances such as oil or grease that are used for minimizing friction, especially in an engine or component. Oils are a viscous liquid derived from petroleum, especially for use as a fuel or lubricant. Greases are a semisolid lubricant and generally consist of a soap emulsified with mineral and vegetable oil. Anti Corrosives refers to the protection of metal surfaces from corroding in high-risk (corrosive) environments.

Anti Corrosives
Anti Corrosives refers to the protection of metal surfaces from corroding in high-risk (corrosive) environments. Anti Corrosive measures are of particular importance in environments where high humidity, mist and salt are factors.

Greases
Greases are a semisolid lubricant. The characteristic feature of greases is that they possess a high initial viscosity, which upon the application of shear, drops to give the effect of an oil-lubricated bearing of approximately the same viscosity as the base oil used in the grease.

Lubricating Preparations
Lubricating Preparations include cutting-oil preparations, bolt or nut release preparations, anti-rust or anti-corrosion preparations and mold release preparations, based on lubricants. They can be used as preparations for the treatment of textile materials, leather, furskins or other materials.
