Wiring Devices & Wallplates

Wiring devices are defined as single discrete units of electrical distribution systems, which are intended to carry but not utilize electrical energy. Wall plates are a metal plate that is fixed to a wall for attaching a bracket, wiring, or other device.

GFCI Protection Devices
GFCI’s are the most often used “receptacle-type” that are similar to a common wall outlet and it is the type that most consumers are familiar. Circuit breaker GFCIs are often used as replacements for standard circuit breakers and they provide GFCI protection to all receptacles on that individual circuit.

Nema Twistlock
Nema Twist Locks generically refer to NEMA locking connectors that are manufactured by a company. Locking connectors use curved blades. The plug is twisted when it is pushed into the receptacle and its now-rotated blades latch into the receptacle.

Non-Nema Twistlock
The name Non-NEMA means that the product is simply Not NEMA specified. It depends on the series, but the wiring devices may or may not be UL approved depending upon the series. The applications lean to the esoteric but in many cases they provide the best alternative in a given industry.

Pin & Sleeve
Pin & Sleeve products can be defined watertight devices, switch-rated devices, corrosion resistant devices, data center pin and sleeve, back boxes, accessories and dimensions. They also resist impact, heat, flame and chemicals, provide superior performance in low-to-high ambient temperature extremes and offer excellent UV stability for superior outdoor performance.

Receptacles
Receptacles provide a place in a wiring system where current can be taken to run electrical devices. Receptacles are devices that allow electrically operated equipment to be connected to the primary alternating current (AC) power supply in a building.

Recreational Vehicle TT-30
The Recreational Vehicle TT-30 is a 1-Phase and unmetered. It has a surface mount with a top feed. It is a NEMA 3R. The receptacles are: (1) NEMA TT-30R.

Straight Blade
Straight blades can come in a variety of receptacles. It can be anything from standard, GFCI, AFCI, USB Charger, Power Plugs, Connectors, Power Receptacles and Snap-In Devices.

Switches
An electrical switch is any device that is used to interrupt the flow of electrons in a circuit. Switches are essentially binary devices: they are either completely on (“closed”) or completely off (“open”). There are many different types of switches.

Wallplates
Wall plates offer a contemporary styling. They accent any wall covering with a wide selection of colors and finishes. The smooth face and rounded edges resist dust accumulation. They are resistant to fading, discoloration, grease, oil, and organic solvents along with moisture scratches.
